Managing My Menopauseâ„¢ 2024 Symposium

October was Menopause Awareness Month, and to mark the occasion, Healthyher.Life hosted a special virtual symposium, Managing My Menopause™, on Wednesday, October 16, 2024. This symposium was designed to educate, empower, and support individuals through one of life’s most important transitions – Menopause.

What is Menopause?

Menopause marks the end of a woman's reproductive years, defined as the point when menstrual periods have ceased for 12 consecutive months. It typically occurs between the ages of 45 and 55, though some may experience it earlier or later. The hormonal changes during menopause can lead to a range of physical and emotional symptoms, from hot flashes and sleep disturbances to mood swings and changes in sexual health.

Join us for an engaging virtual learning experience where we delved into the realities of menopause with insights from leading menopause experts covering key topics such as:

  • Dr. Ardelle Piper, MD (OB/GYN), FRCSC, MSCP, Certified Menopause Specialist, discussed GMS treatment and sexual health, providing the latest information on gynecological care and strategies for managing menopausal symptoms.

  • Dr. Sarah Vadeboncoeur, Naturopath Doctor, focused on optimizing nutrition and wellness during perimenopause, sharing practical advice on how diet and lifestyle choices can support hormonal health and overall well-being.

  • Kim Vopni, Pelvic Health Coach and Menopause Support Practitioner, guided participants through building a resilient pelvic floor, explaining its crucial role in core stability, bladder control, and enhancing the quality of life during menopause.

Whether you were approaching menopause, in perimenopause, post-menopausal, or simply wanted to learn more, this symposium was for you. Attendees had the opportunity to equip themselves with the knowledge and tools needed to manage menopause confidently and embrace this new phase of life!

This symposium is ideal for:
